Recent Legistlation Status:
In 2022, the Senate and House of Representatives have filed the Federal Kratom Consumer Protection Act legislation, a first mover stride in the right direction for consumer rights for Kratom federally. This act will prevent Kratom from further regulation and restrictions in the US by either the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) or the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
With these new protections in place, further and more accurate scientific studies can be conducted on the use of Kratom. In addition, consumers will be protected to not only continue using Kratom, but also be provided with well-vetted products that are lab-tested to ensure consistency of quality and safety.
